Elect Jerry Brown as our next Governor!

Here is a message from Equality California, from George Zander, a fellow Democrat in the desert:

Please forward to all of your lists!!  Thanks to Paul Zak for this announcement.

Hello all,

We are anticipating that Judge Walker will issue his opinion in the matter of Perry vs. Schwarzenegger (the Prop 8 trial) this next week, or some time this month!  Equality California:  Palm Springs and  Desert Cities will hold a rally on the Day of Decision at the Palm Springs Courthouse beginning at 7PM on the Day of Decision.  The Palm Springs Courthouse is located at 3255 E.Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs. Please inform your faith community and organizations' members and friends about the rally.  If we win, the rally will celebrate the decision.  If we lose, the rally will be a peaceful protest.  Marriage Equality is a matter of civil rights.  In our pluralistic society, marriage equality should be clear.  To deny equality is a matter of prejudice pure and simple.  Please plan to join us for the rally and contact your members and friends to join us.  We will probably have 24 hours notice of the decision.  I will contact you when we find out when Judge Walker’s decision will be announced.

Thank you for your support.

Jose Medina is the endorsed candidate for the 64th Assembly District which covers Palm Desert Greens. Perhaps, some one can make a motion at the meeting this Friday, that the Club send him a $50 contribution towards his campaign. After the primary, as our treasury permits, another contribution can be made.

See you Friday morning - remember the social is at 9:45 with the meeting starting promptly at 10 A.M.
